1. Service Agreement

PakSchooling ("we", "the Service") is a cloud-based school management system providing Pakistani schools with attendance, fees, results, staff, and parent-communication tooling. By using our Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

2. Account and Registration

You must be at least 18 years old or authorised to represent a school.
Information provided at registration must be accurate and kept up to date.
You are responsible for safeguarding your password. Notify us immediately of any unauthorised access.
One trial account per school — creating multiple trial accounts is prohibited.

3. Free Trial

New schools automatically receive a 15-day free trial of the STANDARD plan. During the trial:

No credit card required
Full access to all features
After 15 days the plan expires automatically — your data is preserved for an additional 30 days
If you do not upgrade, your data will be permanently deleted 45 days after trial start

4. Payment and Subscription

All prices are in Pakistani Rupees (PKR), exclusive of 17% GST where applicable
Subscription is billed in advance — monthly or annually
Refund policy: written request within 7 days qualifies for a full refund of the unused period
We reserve the right to change pricing — existing customers receive 30 days' notice
The first 100 partner schools receive a 3-year price lock — prices will not be raised during that period

5. Acceptable Use

While using the Service, you agree NOT to:

Upload illegal, harmful, or fraudulent content
Violate the privacy of other users
Reverse-engineer or attempt to hack the Service
Distribute spam, malware, or engage in automated abuse
Infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property

Violations may result in immediate account suspension or termination without notice.

6. Data and Privacy

All your school's data — students, fees, attendance, results — remains your property. We use it solely to provide the Service. For details, see our Privacy Policy.

7. Account Termination

You may close your account at any time — how
After closure, your data remains recoverable for 30 days, then is permanently deleted
For legal reasons, certain data (audit logs, financial records) is retained for 7 years
We may also close accounts for terms violations, non-payment, or prolonged inactivity (12+ months)

8. Limitation of Liability

The Service is provided "as is". We aim for 99.9% uptime but do not guarantee continuity in cases of maintenance, outages, or third-party service failures (Cloudinary, Resend, Supabase). Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding 12 months. We are not liable for indirect damages, lost profits, or data loss.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. Significant changes will be notified via email at least 30 days in advance. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Governing Law and Disputes

This agreement is governed by the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The courts of Lahore, Punjab, Pakistan shall have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute. The Prevention of Electronic Crimes Act 2016 (PECA) and Pakistan's Personal Data Protection Bill apply.
